AYURVEDIC HERBAL FACIAL RITUAL

This Ayurvedic Herbal Facial is a skincare therapy that uses 100% natural and herbal ingredients to cleanse and nourish the skin. It follows an 8-step process to refine, rejuvenate and rehydrate the skin, leaving the skin looking luminous and bright, promoting a healthy and radiant complexion. The treatment is completely natural and begins with a warming herbal foot soak.

The ritual begins with a facial analysis to determine the specific herbal ingredients that will be used during the treatment. Herbs like Ashwagandha, Bala, almonds, vetiver and neem are used depending on the skin’s imbalance. By using specific herbs, your skin gets the best nourishment based on its needs.

The steps in an Ayurvedic Herbal Facial:

  1. Herbal cleansing pack: The facial starts with cleansing the face using a gentle herbal cleanser to remove impurities, excess oil, and dirt from the skin, preparing it for further treatment.

  2. Oleation and Face Massage: A facial massage is performed using herbal oils. The massage techniques used in Ayurvedic facial massages are designed to stimulate circulation, improve lymphatic drainage, and promote oleation. Specific strokes, pressure points, and gentle movements are used to enhance the therapeutic effects.

  3. Herbal face steaming: Next, a herbal steam treatment is administered to the face. The steam helps to open up the pores, allowing for deep cleansing and detoxification.

  4. Herbal Face Scrub: After steaming, an exfoliation process is performed using herbal scrubs. These scrubs are usually made from ingredients like rice flour, chick pea flour or powdered herbs. The exfoliation helps to remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and improve the skin’s texture and radiance.

  5. Nourishing Herbal Face Mask: A herbal mask is applied to the face. The mask is made from a blend of Ayurvedic herbs, clays, or fruit extracts for a specific duration to allow the ingredients to penetrate and nourish the skin deeply.

  6. Hydrating Herbal Face Pack: Face packs are prepared with different types of fruits and vegetables such as cucumber, banana, or avocado which are mashed and cooled.

  7. Toning: Once the face pack is removed, a toner or herbal water such as Rose water or Allow Vera Juice is applied to balance the skin’s pH level, provide hydration, tighten pores, refresh the skin as well as remove the residue of all previous treatments.

  8. Moisturising: Lastly, a herbal moisturiser or herbal serum is gently massaged into the skin to provide hydration, nourishment, and protection.

Depending on the length of your treatment, we wind down with a soothing sound meditation using Tibetan bowls and turning forks - leaving you visibly rejuvenated and restored.
